The funeral for Mrs. Orval (Mertis) Sorenson, 53, Bagley, Minn., will be there at 1 Monday at the elementary school gymnasium. She died at her home Thursday. Mertis Aarestad was born at McHenry, N.D., Sept. 9, 1927, and was married to Mr. Sorenson, June 4, 1949, in Valley City, N.D. In 1951 they moved to Bagley. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sara, at home; five sons, Dan, Shevlin, Minn.; Steven, Todd, Jeff and Aaron, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Agnes) Hartvickson, Fargo; Mrs. Hellmer (Esther) Boelter, West Fargo; four brothers, Ervin, Harwood; Stanley, Flandrau, S. D.; Selmer, Fargo; Wilfred, Jamestown, N.D., and three grandchildren.
