AANDERUD, DAVID ALLEN, 75, of Seaford, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Maddock, North Dakota on February 18, 1939 to Harry and Alice (Togstad) Aanderud, David graduated from BCATS (Benson County Agricultural and Training School) Maddock, ND in 1957. He lived most of his life in Severna Park, Maryland. David was in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962 and worked for ARINC (now Rockwell Collins) from 1962 until his retirement as a Senior Manager of Radio and Data Communications in 1998. He enjoyed building his own home in Seaford, Delaware from 1999 until it's completion in 2002. In his spare time he enjoyed working in his yard, fishing and traveling. David was very involved with the American Legion. David had an amazing sense of humor and always made people laugh and smile. David is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Kay and three children, Arthur Prell, Allen (Quismunda) Aanderud and Nita Aanderud (Steven Pszcolka), 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Dallas (Harold) Berglund as well as his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Rodger Aanderud. David was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion, Nanticoke Post #6, 230 Front Street, Seaford, DE 19973. The burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made in David's memory to the Compassion Care Hospice; 28467 DuPont Blvd.; Millsboro, DE 19966.
