Mrs. Hilda M. Kufahl, 81, rural Onaga, died Tuesday, January 8, 1991, at an Onaga hospital.
 
She was born April 11, 1909, northeast of Wheaton, one of 11 children of Wilhelm F. and Lena Hinzman Abitz.
 
Mrs. Kufahl was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wheaton and a past member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League at the church.
 
She was married to Henry W. Kufahl March 28, 1935 near Wheaton.  He died December 27, 1987.
 
Survivors include two daughters, Orlene Krohn, Blaine, and Nila Haefner, Junction City; three sons, Ardell Kufahl, Wheaton, Delbert Kufahl, at home, and Donald Kufahl, Topeka; six sisters, Lydia Schwant, Blaine, Meta Figge, Wheaton, Selma Wegner, Manhattan, Frieda Abitz, Wichita, Lavina Borderstrasse, Plymouth, Nebraska and Olga Fairbanks, Onaga; two brothers, Almon Abitz, Wheaton, and Chester Abitz, Onaga; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
 
Services were at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wheaton.  Burial was in St. Luke's Lutheran North Cemetery in Wheaton.
