Anna's husband Paul left for WW I and became ill of the influenza sweeping across the globe during that time and died in a hospital in France. Anna gave birth to a baby girl and Anna died the next day. The girl was named PaulAnna after Paul and Anna and was raised by Paul's parents, PBS and Catherine Peters.

Daughter of F.W. and Minnie (Westfall) Schoenfeldt, both born in Germany.
