Beloved Juan Sebastian Abadilla, Sr. of Honolulu, passed away on January 30, 2019 in Ilocos Norte, Philippines at age 91.

John was born December 18, 1927 as the eighth child and sixth son to Fortunato and Ildefonza (née Sebastian). His marriage to Valentina was blessed with three children: Helen, Juan Jr, and Gerson. More than 30 years after Valentina's passing, love blossomed again and he married Nerlita (née Pasion) in 2006. Surviving are his wife Nerlita of the home in Honolulu, Hawaii, sons Juan Jr (Catalina) of Honolulu, and Gerson (Luzviminda) of Sagpatan, daughter Helen (Levi) Gumallaoi of Honolulu, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Mariano of Hilo, Hawaii and Anastacio (Irene) of Sagpatan.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife Valentina, brothers Urbano, Bienbenido, Pedro, Jesus and Celso, sisters Martina and Visitacion, nephews Apolinario (by Urbano) and Jholito (by Pedro), and nieces Felicitas and Norma (by Pedro).

He was known to have always been kind, understanding, and with a generous heart to his family. He loved them all dearly, and was loved by all as the same.
