Anastacio "Tacing" Abadilla, 86, also known to most as Uncle or Lolo Kapitan of Brgy. Sagpatan, Dingras, Ilocos Norte joined our Creator on May 2, 2019. He was born on January 22, 1933 to Fortunato and Ildefonza (née Sebastian). The last of ten children who grew to adulthood, he lived a full life and passed peacefully in his sleep.

Serving as barangay chairman in Sagpatan like his uncle, father and grandfather before him, he was known to be dependable, wise, kind, humble, and just in all his dealings, that he was voted for and served the longest for 26 years until he got sick.

He was survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Irene (née Abriol) of the home, sons Gerry (Lyn) of Laoag City, and Glenn (Marites) of the home, and daughter Ruth Behrns of New York, grandchildren, sisters-in-law Amelia (by Pedro) of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and Nerlita (by Juan) of Honolulu, Hawaii, and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends who respected and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers and their wives, Urbano (Catalina), Bienbenido (Mabel & Bertha), Pedro (Rosaura), Jesus (Rosenda), Celso (Rosita & Paz), Juan (Valentina), Mariano (Rosalina), and 2 other brothers who didn't reach adulthood, sisters Martina and Visitacion, nephews Apolinario (by Urbano) and Jholito (by Pedro), and nieces Felicitas & Norma (by Pedro).

Two formal memorial services were held in his honor before interment at the Sagpatan Municipal Cemetery.
