ROCHELLE - Charles Otis Sutton, Jr., age 87, of 1910 First Avenue SE, Rochelle passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 in the Pineview Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. Matthew Yarbrough and Richard Moorhouse will officiate. Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery with military rites.

Mr. Sutton was born on July 20,1921 in Wilcox County. He was son of the late Charles Otis Sutton, Sr. and Minnie Louise Bagwell Sutton. He was a farmer and member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #71 where he served as Past Post Commander. He served his country with honor during World War II in the United States Navy where he served in the Armed Guard Unit.

Survivors include sons, Charles H. Sutton of Knoxville, TN and Larry G. Sutton of Costa Mesa, California; brothers, Johnny Sutton of Macon, James Sutton of Madison, Alabama, and Bill Sutton of Rochelle; sisters, Marion Herring of
Warner Robins, Annette Abbott of Vienna, Dorothy Terry of Pitts, and Alice Brooks of Rochelle; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
