WARNER ROBINS - Floyd S. Abel, 80, died Sunday, April 7 at Houston County Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Fr. Fred Nijem will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 7:30pm at McCullough Funeral Home; a rosary will follow at 7:30pm. -Mr. Abel was born in Lexington, Miss. He was retired from Civil Service, having worked as an equipment specialist at Robins AFB. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in WWII and was a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. He coached Little League Baseball for 25 years and was a member of NARFE. Mr. Abel was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, Laura Jane Abel, Mary Gottlob Abel, and Doris M. Abel; his parents, James A. Abel and Susanna Fisher Abel; and nine brothers and sisters. -Survivors include his three sons, Floyd Smitty Abel, Jr., Macon; Tony (Rebecca) Abel, Kathleen; and Gary Joel (Angela) Abel, Alpharetta, GA; two daughters, Suzanne Weber, Warner Robins; and Cammie A. (Pitt) Edwards, Milledgeville, and 11 grandchildren. McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Floyd Abel
