Services for Pauline L. Vines were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2001 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield. Officiating were Revs. Billy McBride and Gary Wright. Burial was in the Hurricane Creek Cemetery near Dodson.

Mrs. Vines, age 79 of Dodson, died Friday, July 20, 2001 in the Parkview Care Center in Winnfield following a lengthy illness. She was born in Sikes and was a resident of Dodson. She was a homemaker, had worked for Continental Can in Hodge for many years and had retired from Manville and Riverwood Corp. after many years as a millworker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Vines, son Jerry Vines and one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

She is survived by three sons, B.L. Vines, Loyd E. Vines and Barron J. Vines, all of Dodson; two daughters, Sammie Fowler of Hodge and Patsy Hemphill of Dodson; four brothers, P.W. Lasyone of Columbia, Waylon Lasyone of Monroe, Earl Lasyone and Burl Lasyone both of Dodson: three sisters, Nita Jacobs of Sikes, Grace Ackerman of Grayson and Patsy Lasyone of Boise, ID; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Jeffrey Hemphill, Darin Hemphill, Quinn Hemphill, Terry Vines, Shawn Vines, Justin Higgs, Benny Vines, Colin Higgs and Max Fowler.
