Jewel Lasyone, 60, of Joyce, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 1968 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church near Sikes with Rev. A. L. Bratton officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

The deceased was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rose Lasyone; four sons, P. W. Lasyone of Columbia; Wayland Lasyone of Bossier City; C. E. Lasyone of Calvin; and C. B. Lasyone of Joyce.

Five daughters, Mrs. Pauline Vines of Dodson; Mrs. Nita Shirley of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Grace Acreman of Grayson; Mrs. Bobby Bennett of Joyce; Mrs. Waymon Taylor of Clarks; two brothers, L. R. Lasyone of Baton Rouge, and M. C. Lasyone of Jonesboro; one sister, Mrs. Louise Henderson of Monroe; 27 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
