Alice F. Adams, age 65 of the Big Hill community passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Lee Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Lee County and had worked for 27 years at Carter Hall Nursing Home in Dryden, VA as a dietician. She loved making crafts, paintings, and attending craft shows. She loved her family and her granddaughter Eva Marie was her joy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Estelle Kilgore Belcher,and father Howard Belcher, son, James V. Adams, sister, Carol Belcher, brother, Ray Belcher.
Survivors include: Two sons, Keith Adams and wife Brenda, Richard Adams and wife Teresa both of Big Hill. One granddaughter, Eva Marie Adams of Big Hill. Two sisters; Betty Jo Belcher of Big Hill and Kitty Roberts of Dryden, VA. Sister in-law, Sue Belcher, Montgomery, AL, Two nieces; Karen Maggard, Dryden, VA and Lisa Hughes of Montgomery, AL. Nephew; Steve Belcher, Montgomery, AL.

The family will recieve friends from 6 until 8:00 p. m. Tuesday , June 15 at Sturgill Funeral Home of Pennington Gap. Committal graveside services will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Wednesday in Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden with Rev. Bill Posey officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50.
