Gloria Bachman Rachmacey passed away at her home in Greeneville on Saturday, January 22, 2011.

She was born in Bristol, Tn and attended Sullins College and Brenau college in Gainsville, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Rachmacey were married in 1969 and resided in Greeneville. She was a past president of the Greeneville Arts Guild and a member of the Andrew Johnson Club. She was also an active member of the St. James Episcopal Church as long as her health permitted. Following her husband's retirement, the Rachmaceys travelled extensively throughout the world.

Mrs. Rachmacey is survived by her beloved husband: Joseph V. Rachmacey; two sons and daughters-in-law: Milton and Kelly Abercrombie of Apple Valley, CA, and Paul and Mary Ann Abercrombie of Lubbock, TX; a daughter: Victoria Ruth Abercrombie Hays of Suwanee, GA; a daughter-in-law: Suzanne Linn Abercrombie of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren: Clyde Austin and Mariah Felice Abercrombie of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Bachman Abercrombie of Asheville, NC, Ashley Linn Abercrombie of Hermosa Beach, CA, Hunter Philip Hays of Lexington, KY, Heather Bachman Hays and Holly Hays Orlando of Wellington, FL, Brian Joseph Abercrombie of Lubbock, TX; three great-grandchildren: Josiah and Celene Abercrombie of Las Vegas, NV, Logan Orlando of Wellington, FL; brother and sister-in-law: Phil and Martha Bachman of Greeneville, TN; three nephews: Mark Richards, Jr., Russ Richards, and Philip M. Bachman III.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Philip M. Bachman, Sr. and Ruth Cox Wakefield; her stepfather: Paul C. Wakefield; son: Philip Bachman Abercrombie; sister: Ruth Bachman Richards and her husband, Mark D. Richards. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. from 12 p. m. Saturday, January 29th, in the McMillan Parish Hall of St. James Episcopal Church.

The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Carolyn W. Isley officiating. Private interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 107 W. Church Street, Greeneville, TN 37743.
