From daughter Emma's notebook: Mother died Wednesday afternoon at 4:20 on August 17, 1932 from pneumonia. Sick 11 days, in bed 3 days, buried on Saturday August 20, 1932. Following is a newspaper clip which reads: The people of this community were shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Mrs. Martin Anderson, which occurred on Wednesday afternoon, August 17th. Mrs. Anderson was well known and liked around Van Metre and we will miss her quiet assuming ways and kind thoughtfulness.
