Burial was in the Rosefield Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
She died Thursday morning at her home after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Sledge was a retired school teacher in Catahoula Parish.
Survivors include one son, C. B. Sledge Jr. of Enterprise; two daughters, Mrs. Johnnie Buckley of Gaithersburg, Md., Mrs. Debbie Ainsworth of Enterprise; four brothers, David Poole of Athens, Texas, N. H. Poole Jr. of Jena, Hershell Poole and H. L. Poole, both of Enterprise; five sisters, Mrs. Viva Aarons of Vidalia, Mrs. Verda Chapman of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Jolene McGuffee and Mrs. Effie Roark, both of Enterprise, Mrs. Mildred Morvan of Fort Sulphur; and three grandchildren.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
