Ethel May Hart Abbott, daughter of William Andrew Hart and Isabelle Florence Stansbury, was born August 1888 in Rantoul, Franklin County, Kansas. She passed away in July 1924 in McCook County, Nebraska. She was married Burl Robert Sewell Abbott, son of Sewell August Abbott and Martha Ann Smock (January 30, 1881 in Osborne, Norton County, Kansas) He passed away on August 12, 1926 in McCook, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by son, Emory who died in 1920. She is survived by the following children; Mildred Perkins and husband, William of Silverton, Oregon, Howard Lawrence Abbott, of Beaver, Colorado, Clyde Vernon Abbott of Elkhart, Kansas, Edna Lamb and husband Elmer, of Salem, Iowa, Veda Coulter and her husband Floyd, Blue Springs, Missouri, Fern Hibbert and her husband James, of Kansas City, Missouri.

Judge Crary Saturday issued a marriage license to Burl Abbott and Miss Ethel Hart of this city. They were married Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock, Judge Crary officiating, at the bride's residence on North Ash Street.
Mr. Abbott recently rented the farm in W. T. Dick and is one of the well known farmers of McPherson County. The bride is a highly respected young lady and has a host of friends who extend their congratulations.
