Last Thursday Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Walker entertained the following guests with a turkey dinner: Mr. and Mrs. Emery C. Ackley, Mr. and Mrs. Buford Ackley and sons, Carroll Wayne and James Buford, Jr., and Mrs. Flora Ackley, all of Hammon; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Zimins(sic) and sons, Floyd, Elvin and Elmer of Moorewood, and Dorothy Walker.

Obituary

Flora May Walker was born September 5, 1881, at Riverton, Neb., passed away February 20, 1947, at Elk City, Okla., at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 15 days.

She was married to J. T. Ackley September 1(sic), 1898, who preceded her in death in 1933. They came to Custer County on 1895.

Mrs. Ackley was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and a consecrated Christian.

One son, Walker Ackley, preceded her in death and the following children survive her: Mrs. Retta Creswell, Hammon, George Ackley, Clinton, Hammon Ackley, Brawley, Calif., Reed, Buford and Emery Ackley, Hammon, Glenwood Ackley, Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Dean, Estancia, New Mexico; a step-mother, Mrs. Myrtle Walker, Butler, Okla.; two half -sisters, Mrs. Mable Shoun, Guthrie, Mrs. Dorothy Adams, Leedey; three half-brothers, Clarence Walker, Butler, Earl Walker, Yucapia, Calif., Orville Walker, San Bernardino, Calif., and thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ, Hammon, Februray 23 with Tommy Hodge, Minister, officiating at 2:30 p.m.

Interment was in the Red Hill cemetery.
