Charlie was survived by 6 sons: Leroy of Chamisal, Charlie Jr., Joe and Ivan of Española, Rudy of White Rock, and Mike of Medanales; 7 daughters: Eida Dominguez of Chamisal, Lorraine Archuleta, Vivian Vega, Eva Varela of Española, Polly Gallegos of Hernandez, Nora Marrufo of El Guache, and Loyola Sanchez of Pueblo, Colorado; mother of his children, Florida L. Abeyta; 33 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; and other relatives.
Funeral services were on Sep 10th in the Presbyterian Church in Chamisal. Burial was in the Chamisal Cemetery.
