Son of Jorgen Lind and Hannah Berg Bendicksen Gilbertsen, he married LaVeral McDonald, was a commercial fisherman, lived at 244 E. Sunny Sands Rd, Cathlamet, died in Columbia View Nursing Home of ventricular arrest, ASHD, chronic CHF, rheumatoid arthritis, per death certificate 146-85 25950, whose informant was his wife. Buried Oct 24 1985.

Harold Gilbertsen, 78, of Puget Island, died Oct. 21, 1985, in a Cathlamet nursing home. He was born Dec. 16, 1906, at Trondheim Norway.

He came to this area in 1907 when his parents homesteaded on Puget Island. He was a commercial fisherman most of his life. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Cathlamet, a member of the Sons of Norway, and the Timbers Operators Council.

Surviving are his wife, LaVeral Gilbertsen; two daughters, Linda Brock of Tigard, OR, and Noni Meredith of Kelso; a son, Mack Gilbertsen of Longview; two brothers, Fritz Gilbertsen of Seattle, and Gundar Gabrielsen of Puget Island; 9 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:30 Thursday in his church with Elder Vernon Dodge and Elder Jerry Wolcott officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
