SALEM - Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lamb returned early Sunday morning from Elkhart, Kansas, where they has been called by the death of Mrs. Lamb’s only brother, Clyde V. Abbott, who died December 31, 1949, at the age of 38. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Lamb’s eldest sister, Mrs. Mildred Perkins and daughter, Joyce, of Silverton, Oregon, and also her youngest sister, Mrs. Fern Hedding and son Danny of Kansas City, who remained for a short visit.

Clyde Vernon Abbott was born July 16, 1911 in Rantoul, Franklin County, Kansas to Burl Robert Sewell Abbott and Ethel May Hart. He died December 31, 1949 in Elkhart, Morton County, Kansas and is buried in the Elkhart Cemetery. He married Juanita Jane Hite. Survived by wife, Juanita; son Harold Abbott, Tyrone, Oklahoma and daughter Erma Jean Robison, Siloam Springs, Ark.
