County Judge Wilbur last week issued a license to wed to Mr. Wm. H. Newell and Miss Lillie Leamer.

On Sunday morning a telegram was received here announcing the death of Mrs. Wm. H. Newall, at her home in Omaha. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Leamer, and the remains arrived here on Monday evening's train and on Tuesday morning were interred in the Dakota City burying ground. On the 16th inst. Mrs. N. gave birth to twin babies, both of which survive her with four other children. She was a noble woman and was loved and respected by all who knew her. The sympathy of the community is extended the bereaved parents and the motherless children.
