Deaths and Funerals
Fred Peer, aged 11, of Baldwin, who was burned by gasoline recently, died last night at Lawrence Memorial hospital.
Funeral services will be held at the Rumsey funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. D. L. Turnvough will officiate. Burial will be at Vinland.
The youth is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peer, of Baldwin, three brothers, William Peer, Marvin Peer and James Peer; and five sisters, Mabel Peer, Alice Peer, Rebie Ann Peer, Bertie Eva Peer and Mary Lou Peer.

Fred Carl Peer
Fred Carl Peer was born near Pleasant Grove on September 22, 1926, and died on March 14, 1938, from burns suffered on January 18. He had lived in Baldwin or the surrounding neighborhood all of his life.
He attended school at Baldwin, Coal Creek, High Prairie, and Prairie City school.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peer, five sisters, Mabel Martha, Alice Rosalie, Rebecca Annie, Berdie Eva, and Mary Louise; three brothers, William Arthur, Charles Marvin and James Dell, all of the home.
