Ada Frieda Abitz, 80, Wichita, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at a Wichita hospital. 
 
She worked at Swallow Aircraft Company and Wescon Products in Wichita until her retirement in 1986.
 
She was born July 15, 1917, northeast of Wheaton, the daughter of William and Helena Hinzman Abitz.  She attended Pleasant Hill School northeast of Wheaton and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was a member until she transferred to Trinity Lutheran Church in Wichita. 
 
Survivors include one brother, Chester Abitz, Wheaton; and two sisters, Lavina Vorderstrasse, Plymouth, Nebraska, and Olga Fairbanks, Onaga. 
 
Memorial services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wichita and 2 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton.  Burial was in St. Luke Lutheran North Cemetery in Wheaton.
