Nancy (Oskolkoff) Ahlrich, 94, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2023, at Central Peninsula Hospital.


Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday Oct. 30 at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Kenai. Burial following at Kasilof Cemetery. The V. Rev. Peter Tobias will officiate. Repast to be announced later and will be held in Ninilchik during the summer allowing family to attend.


Nancy was born March 3, 1929, in Ninilchik, the daughter of the V. Rev. Michael Oskolkoff and Matushka Zoya (Darien) Oskolkoff. She was raised in Ninilchik and attended college in Washington State and retired from Alaska Native Medical Center. After her retirement, Nancy and Harold operated the post office and store in Clam Gulch and eventually moved out to Funny River Road, where she resided until Harold's passing.


Nancy was a Member of the Ninilchik Tribe (NTC).


Nancy and Harold would often pack up the dogs and fly their plane to Anchorage for lunch. Nancy loved to sing and one of her favorite things was large family gatherings with her musical family spending the evening with dining, playing cards and of course, singing.


She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Ahlrich, and ten siblings, Larry Oskolkoff, Gus Oskolkoff, Gerrasim Oskolkoff, Ralph Oskolkoff, I, Ralph Oskolkoff, II, Michael "Miner" Oskolkoff, Allen Oskolkoff, Ella Woodhead, Alice Bowens, and Carolyn Reifsnyder.


She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Bobbie Oskolkoff; sister-in-law, Pat Oskolkoff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
