Jacqueline Sue "Jackie" Aalbregtse, 56, of Lafayette, died at 1:04 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at Home Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born June 16, 1951 in Decatur to Paul D. and Donna Lou (Crist) Nussbaum.
Mrs. Aalbregtse graduated from Adams Central High School in 1969, and Taylor University in 1973. She worked as an Elementary and Jr. High teacher in Marion and Avilla and was a former co-owner/operator of Village Florist in Syracuse. She was a member of the North Webster Church of God.
Surviving relatives include her parents; one daughter, Alysha (John) Wachtman of Rochester; one son, Spencer (Danielle) Aalbregtse of Lafayette; two sisters, Barb (Rick) Minnich of Decatur and Teresa Nussbaum of Shawneetown, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ray Cemetery in Monroe, with Anita Rediger officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Owen Funeral Home in Syracuse.
Preferred memorials are to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, Indiana Chapter.
