Mr. Cosby Acree, son of J.A. Acree, who survives, and the late Mae Delia Estes Acree, was born 12 Sept 1921 in Green Co., Ky. and departed this life 28 Mar 1984 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky. He was 63 years, 6 months and 16 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist church at the time of his death. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of American legion Post 124. Mr. Acree was united in marriage on 2 May 1946 to Fannola Mae Berry, who survives. He is also survived by 5 sisters: Jean Simpson, Horse Cave, Ky; Doris Patterson and Letha Dewitt, both of Greensburg, Ky; Martha Jane McCubbin, Campbellsville, Ky; Sarah Brockman, Lebanon, Ky. Two brothers preceded Mr. Acree in death: Odell and Bob Acree. A host of other relatives and friends survive. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 2:00 pm Fri. 30 mar 1984 with burial in the Fry Cem. Rev. Gary Ervin and Rev. Gilbert Larimore officiated. Pallbearers were Gary Patterson, Richard DeWitt, L.J. Lee, Tony Patterson, James Paxton, Waldo Mitchell, and Richard Shuffett.
