Clara Aberle
Napoleon - Mrs. Clara Aberle, 95, of Napoleon, died Friday at Ellendale Nursing Center.
Bon 9 Jul 1886 in rural Zeeland, grew up on parents' farm and married Joseph Aberle on 3 Nov 1907 in rural Zeeland. They farmed in McIntosh Co. until moving to a farm 9 miles SW of Napoleon in 1914, retiring in 1934 into Napoleon. They moved to Napoleon Senior Center in 1972, Mr. Aberle died in 1973. Clara moved to Ellendale Nursing Center in September.
Survived by 4 sons, Joseph J, Peter, Thomas and Anton, all of Napoleon; 3 daughters, Mrs. Philip (Katherina) Fettig of Napoleon, Mrs. Baltzer (Mary Ann) Weigel of Kintyre and Mrs. Leo (Regina) Weber of Hillsboro, OR; 37 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Mattern of Linton, Mrs. Sebastian Mozer of Fargo, Mrs. Regina Reis of Strasburg and Mrs. Leo Ervin in CA; 3 brothers, John Schumacher of Yakima, WA, Adam Schumacher of Livingston, MT and Mike Schumacher of Linton.
Services will be Wednesday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Napoleon with burial in church cemetery.
