CONWAY — Edward Lee Ricks, 63, died Wednesday in his home. A funeral was held Friday in Conway Baptist Church by the Rev. James Hester. Burial was in Conway Cemetery.

A native of Southampton County, VA, he was a member of the American Legion and was a disabled Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three sisters, Bernice R. Duke of Newsoms, VA, Nellie R. White of Raleigh and Louise R. Barrett of Murfreesboro; and two brothers, Otis Ricks and Preston Ricks, both of Conway.
